International Accounting and Financial Management

This course presents a strong model of integrating business, management, financial management and accounting skills and knowledge; it provides for the intellectual development of the student to enable him or her to function effectively within a wide range of business sectors, by enhancing and developing a stronger financial perspective among general management skills and knowledge; modules encompass international accounting and its regulation, corporate finance, managerial accounting and financial management; on completion students are able to identify, analyse and evaluate business issues and problems within the dynamic business environment using appropriate financial competencies within current management thinking; the course is designed to meet the needs of graduates who have not previously specialised in management, or who have studied the subject in a non-UK context.

Entry requirements

At least a 2.2 Honours degree or higher, or equivalent in a non-business related subject or any subject studied in a non-UK context required. All applicants who are not a British national and/or whose 1st language is not English will need to demonstrate a suitable level of English language proficiency. This is equivalent to an IELTS 6.5 overall, with a minimum of 6.0 in all 4 components.

Course modules

Modules include: International accounting and its regulation; corporate finance; managerial accounting; financial management.
