This course offers advanced cross-disciplinary training in development history, theory, research methods, and practical applications in a wide range of topics and geographical regions; it is suitable for graduates from a wide range of academic backgrounds who are interested in understanding development, and for professionals working in national and international NGOs, government departments, and other development activists seeking social science perspectives on their work.
Good social sciences degree, 2.1 or equivalent required; candidates from other disciplines are considered; all applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.5 (with a minimum 6.0 in all skills), or equivalent.
Core modules include: Contemporary world development; development perspectives; other optional modules.
