Research within international development is a specialised area of interdisciplinary analysis; there is an increasing demand for high quality research skills that can meet the challenges of today by government and non-governmental organisations, research and academic institutions, and development agencies around the world; this MRes provides advanced level training in research in development studies and is also designed as a foundation year for those wishing to continue to progress to a PhD research degree.
Good social sciences degree, 2.1 or equivalent; candidates from other disciplines are considered; all applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.5 (with a minimum 6.0 in all skills), or equivalent.
Quantitative and qualitative research methods; and preparation of 2 research projects.
UEA offers a limited number of scholarships to qualified UK/EU and international students each year; these awards are based on academic merit.
