Water Security and International Development
The course interprets water security in its broad political ecology and political economy sense; students critically reflect on the practical and theoretical facets of water security, with a view to developing a better foundation upon which to achieve developmental and environmental objectives; the latest interdisciplinary theory and tools necessary to rise to the challenges are applied and students graduate with the knowledge and tools to understand and audit the water security of a system of interest, be it nation, region, company, sector, scheme or household.
Good social sciences or natural resources degree, 2.1 or equivalent required; candidates from other disciplines are considered; all applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.5 (with a minimum 6.0 in all skills), or equivalent.
