Media Law, Policy and Practice

This course has been designed to provide professional practitioners and graduates, in law or other disciplines, with expert knowledge and a firm grounding in the concepts of media law and the regulation of media communication; it is particularly suitable for UK and international graduates who want a career in the media or who wish to build on their professional expertise and develop their understanding of the role of media law in private, public or corporate sectors.

Entry requirements

A good degree in law, media or in a related subject required, at minimum 2.1 or equivalent; relevant employment experience is considered; all applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.5 (with a minimum 6.0 in all skills), or equivalent.

Course modules

Legal skills and research; media in society; supervised dissertation.

The UEA offers a number of scholarships each year to qualified UK/EU and international students; these are awarded on the basis of academic merit.
