This programme explores new methods of discovering unique, genuine problems and opportunities for the design of innovative, useful and sustainable products; study offers opportunities to experiment with materials and manufacturing processes in new ways, the opportunity to promote ethical debate through critically conceptual, speculative design and the opportunity to discover and to solve genuine problems with innovative, research-led solutions.
A UK 2.1 Honours degree, or its international equivalent; any appropriate professional experience will also be considered; this programme requires the submission of a portfolio and study proposal; applicants whose 1st language is not English require: IELTS 6.5 (with at least 6.0 in each module); TOEFL internet-based test 92 (with at least 20 in each module); PTE 61 (with at least 56 in each of the communicative skills sections); or CPE grade C or CAE grade B.
