Applicants are encouraged to submit proposals that challenge and expand traditional approaches to research in creative practice and design, via innovative theoretical and/or practice-led methodologies. Applications are accepted from candidates who wish to study for a research degree in design, in or across the areas of animation; documentary film; illustration; graphic design; fashion; textiles; performance costume; interior design; product design; glass; jewellery and silversmithing.
Applicants require a UK 2.1 Honours degree, or its international equivalent; any appropriate professional experience will also be considered; applicants whose 1st language is not English require: IELTS 7.0 (with at least 6.0 in each module); TOEFL internet-based test 100 (with at least 20 in each module); PTE(A) 67 (with at least 56 in each of the communicative skills sections); or CPE grade B or CAE grade A.
