Commercial Law

This programme provides a grounding for the future academic study of commercial law, for those intending to practise as lawyers, or for those intending to pursue a career in the business sector; it is particularly suited to those who have studied commercial law at undergraduate level, but consideration is given to other applicants who have relevant studies and experience either in law or in related commercial areas.

Entry requirements

A UK 2.1 Honours degree or its equivalent if outside the UK; applicants whose 1st language is not English require: IELTS 7.0 (with at least 6.0 in each module); TOEFL internet-based test 100 (with at least 20 in each module); PTE(A) 67 (with at least 56 in each of the communicative skills sections); or CPE grade B or CAE grade A.

Course modules

The course options include: company law; European competition law; data protection law; international commercial arbitration to European labour law; banking and finance law; debt and insolvency law; principles of insurance law.

Assessment methods

Dissertation.
