Scottish Ethnology

Research and field collection in Scottish Ethnology encompasses the areas of oral narrative, song and instrumental music, material culture, social organisation, custom and belief, and place names.

Entry requirements

To study at postgraduate level students should have a 1st degree in an appropriate subject or relevant qualifications and experience. If English is not the 1st language, students must have 1 of the following qualifications as evidence of their spoken and written English: IELTS: total 7.0 (at least 6.5 in each module); TOEFL-iBT: total 100 (at least 23 in each module); PTE(A): total 67 (at least 61 in each of the "Communicative Skills" sections); CAE and CPE: total 185 (at least 176 in each module).
