International Relations of the Middle East with Arabic
This programme offers an intensive Arabic language programme (including a period spent in the Arab world) with an advanced theoretical and empirical understanding of the international relations of the Middle East. Students obtain an in-depth understanding of the main historical events, processes and actors that have shaped and continue to shape political dynamics in the Middle East; students also acquire a strong understanding of the theoretical and conceptual tools required to understand Middle East international relations, helping them to form an academically-based, independent and critical knowledge of the Middle East.
The academic entry requirement is a UK Honours degree with at least 2.1 or its international equivalent; applicants whose 1st language is not English require: IELTS 7.0 (with at least 6.0 in each module); TOEFL internet-based test 100 (with at least 20 in each module); PTE(A) 67 (with at least 56 in each of the communicative skills sections); or CPE grade B or CAE grade A.
