University of Edinburgh
This pathway includes the same core courses as the standard MBA, but it is distinguished by the opportunity for participants to spend 2-3 months abroad. The international component includes an exchange with one of our 11 University partners.
In semesters 1 and 2A, students study ten foundation courses in major disciplines; this is the foundation upon which the whole MBA is built. These include a course in creative strategy and a week-long integrative project. In addition students select two specialist option courses. Here you tailor your studies towards your career interests through the selection of your option courses. Learning about strategy also becomes a central feature of the programme at this stage.
During semester 2B students registered for the MBA (with International exchange) programme will study at one of our international exchange universities. We have listed the current exchange universities in the table below. Please note that the number of exchange opportunities at each university will vary each year, and places at USA universities are particularly limited. We cannot therefore always guarantee your first choice.
Finally, students will undertake a Capstone Project between June and August. The Capstone Project is an opportunity for in-depth research on significant, real-world problems through a business plan, a consultancy, or a specialist research topic.
At least three years' work experience in a managerial role. You will need a UK first-class or 2:1 honours degree in any subject, or an equivalent overseas qualification.
