Tropical Marine Biology

This course delivers advanced marine biology theory and enables students to develop a comprehensive range of practical and research skills. Capitalising on the breadth of research carried out in marine biology in our School, students have the chance to engage with our current research activities, both in the UK and abroad.

Entry requirements

Our applicants should have a 1st, 2.1 or high 2.2 degree, or equivalent, in relevant subject. If English is not your 1st language, then we require IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.

Course modules

Modules include: Research project; methods in tropical marine biology; professional skills in tropical marine biology; tropical marine resources; tropical marine systems.

Assessment methods

Assessment methods include a combination of written coursework, end-of-term tests, practical and laboratory work (where appropriate) and end-of-year exams.
