We offer supervision for PhD Government in areas including political behaviour, comparative politics, ideology and discourse analysis, and international relations, among others. We offer a stimulating research environment and our supervisors are internationally recognised specialists.

Entry requirements

For research study within our Department of Government, we normally require a good Honours degree and a Master's degree, normally with an overall mark of 65 (or equivalent) in a relevant social science. A well developed research proposal is also essential. If English is not your 1st language, then we will require you to have IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
