Film Studies

This course offers an opportunity, not only to explore film and video from analytic and aesthetic perspectives, but to apply this theoretical knowledge to a collective or personal video project. The focus is mainly on alternative, low-budget cinemas but our core seminar also takes in fundamentals of film history and theory, including Hollywood. Modules are taught by our film specialists and by professional film/video makers. Graduates end with a strong sense of independent, documentary and experimental film-making practices.
