This course is designed for international students, to offer the traditional acting skills, including voice, movement and singing, and approaches to rehearsal and public performances. Students draw upon existing practice but this is supplemented with specific teaching that helps international students. Advanced practical acting skills and the study of Shakespeare and other classical traditions are also included.
Our applicants need to undertake a successful audition or video audition, plus have a 1st degree of upper 2nd Class standard or equivalent (GPA 3.0) or suitable previous life and/or professional expertise. If English is not your 1st language, then we require IELTS 6.0, or equivalent.
Modules include: Acting technique; characters and scene work; contemporary UK texts; Shakespeare; dissertation; practical project.
Assessment methods include essays, written assignments, portfolios and reflective diaries or evaluations.
