International Management

This course interests those who wish to pursue a career within an international dimension or who want to gain a greater understanding of the increasingly global context in which businesses operate, and the changing role of management and organisation in the 21st century.

Entry requirements

Our applicants should have a 1st, 2.1 or high 2:. degree, or equivalent, in any discipline. No prior knowledge of management theory is expected for this course. If English is not your 1st language, then we require IELTS 6.5 or equivalent, with a minimum writing score of 6.0.

Course modules

Core modules: Advanced study skills; financial decision making; foundations of management and marketing; international environment of business; management (principles and practices); managing across cultures; managing for ethics and sustainability; research portfolio. Optional modules: Business strategy; creativity and organisation.

Assessment methods

Combination of written coursework, end-of-term tests, practical and laboratory work (where appropriate) and end-of-year exams. During the summer, students work on a dissertation or individual project included in their final grade.
