Banking and Finance
Our applicants should have a 1st, 2.1 or high 2.2 degree, or equivalent, in finance, economics or business. We also welcome applications from candidates with any science or engineering degrees. If English is not your 1st language, then we require IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
Core modules: Modern banking; dissertation; research methods in finance (empirical methods in finance); bank strategy and risk; portfolio management; postgraduate mathematics preparation. Optional modules include: Asset pricing; bank strategy and risk; behavioural finance; corporate finance; derivative securities; exchange rates and international finance; financial modelling; fixed income securities; industry expert lectures in finance; modern banking; portfolio management; postgraduate mathematics preparation; risk management; trading global financial markets.
Assessment is by coursework, presentations, case studies, group work, tests and examinations, culminating in the submission of a 15,000-word dissertation.
