Marketing and Brand Management

This course focuses on cultural marketing and brand communications. Students will gain in-depth knowledge of managerial and cultural perspectives on marketing, the cultural infrastructure surrounding branding, and ethnographic approaches to market research.

Entry requirements

Our applicants should have a 1st, 2.1 or high 2.2 degree, or equivalent, in management, marketing, a related social science, for example sociology, psychology or communication sciences, or humanities. If English is not your 1st language, then we require IELTS 6.5 or equivalent, with a minimum writing score of 6.0.

Course modules

Core modules: Research methods in accounting; management and organisational behaviour; managing for ethics and sustainability; perspectives on marketing; strategic brand communication; dissertation. Optional modules include: Corporate marketing strategy; critical marketing.

Assessment methods

Combination of written coursework, end-of-term tests, practical and laboratory work (where appropriate) and end-of-year exams. During the summer, students work on a dissertation or individual project included in their final grade.
