This 3 year full-time programme of advanced professional training in educational psychology is recognised by the British Psychological Society and the Department for Children, Schools and Families. As trainees, students are placed with Educational Psychological Services for supervised practical experience.

Entry requirements

Essential: a 1st or 2nd Class Honours degree in psychology that grants applicants the Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership of the British Psychological Society; normally 2 years experience of working with children or young people (0-19 years); IELTS score of 7.5 or equivalent where appropriate; clean driving licence or access to a car and driver or a willingness to travel large distances in rural settings on public transport; Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check for non-UK applicants.

All applications for the DEdPsych are processed by the Association of Educational Psychologists (AEP). If you are UK resident you may be eligible to apply for a funded place. Please see website for further information.
