This course provides students with research training and a wide set of transferable skills in the conception, design and execution of a research project.
Entry requirements for postgraduate taught programmes are a 2.1 Honours degree or equivalent qualification (for example, GPA 3.0 or above) in a relevant subject unless otherwise specified. Note: a short (1 paragraph) statement of interest is also required.
Core course: Research resources and skills for historians. Optional courses: Chivalry and warfare in late Medieval Europe, c1300-1500; constructing faith: systems of belief and religious networks in the Middle Ages; from antiquity to the Middle Ages; introduction to medieval manuscript studies; Barbarians in the Mediterranean; popular revolt in the late Middle Ages; The Crusades; The Normans; Medieval paleography.
