Endodontics

Dental graduates develop clinical skills in endodontics and gain a qualification which enables them to extend their clinical diagnostic and treatment skills. Students also receive a solid grounding in research methodologies. Students attend lectures, seminars, tutorials, pre-clinical skills sessions, plus clinical sessions under direct clinical supervision.

Entry requirements

Applicants should have a universally recognised dental qualification with 2 years' post-qualifying, relevant experience. Applicants must supply: Referee's report (2); degree transcripts; certificate of dental registration; English language certificate; curriculum vitae; funding confirmation; personal statement.

Course modules

Core course: basic, health and research sciences; plus a research project. Clinical courses: biology of endodontic diseases; principles and practice of root canal treatment; interdisciplinary endodontics; endodontic management of RCT problems and failure; endodontics within the population and options for tooth replacement.
