This programme provides students with opportunities to develop and demonstrate knowledge and understanding, expertise in critical appraisal, and the ability to lead and innovate in the students area of practice. The programme reflects the need for professionals in health and social care to develop leadership skills in a dynamic health and social care environment to ensure quality care delivery.

Entry requirements

Anyone with a relevant professional qualification and a 1st degree or equivalent may apply. Applicants should normally have 2 years experience post qualification. International students with academic qualifications below those required should contact our partner institution, Glasgow International College, who offer a range of pre-Masters courses. For applicants whose 1st language is not English, the University sets a minimum English Language proficiency level: IELTS: overall score 6.5; with no sub-test less than 6.0 or equivalent scores in another recognised qualification (see below). Common equivalent English language qualifications: all stated English tests are acceptable for admission for both home/EU and international students for this programme: ibTOEFL: 92; no sub-test less than 20; CAE (Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English): 176 overall; no sub-test less than 169; CPE (Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English): 176 overall; no sub-test less than 169; PTE Academic (Person Test of English, Academic test): 60; no sub-test less than 59.
