Geomatics and Management

This course is aimed at graduates in geomatics (surveying and mapping). It aims to enhance career progression in the field of geomatics, and provide students with the necessary skill set to succeed in managerial positions.

Entry requirements

Honours degree or equivalent in geomatics or similar subject. Those with lower qualifications having significant experience in industry will be considered on an individual basis. International students with academic qualifications below those required should contact our partner institution, Glasgow International College, who offer a range of pre-Master's courses.

Course modules

Financial information management; methods of management enquiry; management decision making; managing innovative change; people in organisations; research and professional issues in geomatics; topics in geomatics; applied GIS; directed studies in geomatics; engineering surveying; further topics in geomatics; geodesy and gnss; geospatial data infrastructures and lis; hydrographic surveying; internet and mobile GIS; population and statistical mapping.
