2.1 Honours degree or non-UK equivalent (eg, a GPA of 3.0 or above) in economics or finance, or a related discipline with at least 4 credit-bearing modules in economics and/or finance.
4 core courses, 2 optional courses and complete a substantial independent piece of work, normally in the form of a dissertation.
Core courses: financial services; international corporate finance (accounting and finance); international finance and money; modern theory of banking and finance.
Optional courses: advanced portfolio analysis (portfolio analysis and investment is a co-requisite for this course); basic econometrics; financial analysis and equity valuation; financial institutions and markets in developing countries; financial sector stability and growth; international banking and financial markets; international capital markets; international financial accounting for multinational companies (MNCs); international financial management; international trade; monetary policy and the role of central banks; portfolio analysis and investment (co-requisite for advanced portfolio analysis); the law and economics of sovereign debt regulation.
