International Management and Leadership
Applicants should have at least a 2.1 Honours degree or non-UK equivalent (eg, a GPA of 3.0 or above) in business and management or a relevant social science, containing at least 25% coverage of organisational behaviour and/or psychology, leadership, employee relations or human resource management. Those who do not have such a background who would like to pursue further studies in the area of people management and leadership are advised to apply for MSc management with human resources. This is a Specialist degree for students with a background in a relevant field of study.
This programme consists of both core and optional courses (2 chosen) which emphasise the development of leadership qualities at different appropriate organisational levels. Core courses; global business environment; international negotiations and dispute resolution; international strategic management; leading and managing people in changing contexts; managing across cultures and comparative management; managing diversity in organizations; organisations and society; organisational misbehaviour. Optional courses; American business and management in an international context; business environment in China; European business environment; leadership and talent management; managing work and employee participation.
