This course teaches students the skills and tools needed to be a successful managers by examining the challenges facing future leaders and managers working in an ever changing world.
Entry requirements for postgraduate taught programmes are a 2.1 Honours degree or equivalent qualification (for example, GPA 3.0 or above) in a relevant subject. Normally a 2.1 Honours degree or non-UK equivalent (eg, a GPA of 3.0 or above) in any subject and a minimum of 3 years managerial work experience.
Decision making under uncertainty; understanding the external environment; introduction to research methods; decision-making tools; decision-making under uncertainty; developing creativity and criticism; business strategic management; dynamic strategic management; financial analysis and decision making; developing leadership skills with people and resources; global economy; strategic marketing; strategic foresight. Optional courses: business scenarios for consulting; business to business relationship management; cases problems in marketing management; company and market failure; corporate image, branding and communication; credibility and networks - selling yourself and a organisation; entrepreneurial finance; future trends in marketing; international financial analysis; international financial management and corporate finance; international strategy for multinational enterprise; project leadership and control; the role of technology in innovative organisations; strategic human resource management; supply and logistics management.
