Religious Education

This programme is recognised by the Bishops of Scotland as a preliminary qualification in generalist Catholic religious education for those who wish to teach religious education in Catholic primary or secondary schools.

Entry requirements

Students must hold a teaching qualification or be a student on a programme of initial teacher education.

Course modules

Theological education and personal development; pedagogy and development in religious education.

Assessment methods

For each course students produce a portfolio, a 1,500-word essay and a report on a relevant CPD activity.
