Advanced Clinical Practice for Sports Injuries
This course will allow the practising therapist to develop advanced clinical skills in the fields of sports injury management. Students will learn advanced assessment and diagnostic techniques with contemporary treatment and rehabilitation methods. Immediate management of the sporting emergency on the field of play is also taught on this programme of study.
Students will need a 2.1 degree or equivalent in a clinical subject; students will already be qualified and practising therapists and will have a minimum of 3 years' graduate experience, membership of an approved professional body (CSP, SST or BASRaT, or international equivalent) and full medical indemnity and public liability insurance (minimum of �3 million); international students need IELTS 6.5 overall (no less than 6.0 in writing and 5.5 in any other band) or equivalent.
Advanced clinical skills; advances in sports medicine; movement analysis and corrective exercise; muscle mechanics; science and application of advanced strength and conditioning.
