The course is an introductory management qualification designed for practising managers, or those aspiring to a career in management in the private and public sectors.
Formal qualifications are not required for entry to the CMS; students should, however, be able to demonstrate that they benefit from undertaking the course and, in view of its work-related nature, have recent and relevant work experience; if the student can demonstrate that they already meet the requirements of the learning outcomes of any module(s) they may be awarded a credit in accordance with the university policy on the accreditation of prior learning.
Modules include: Managing people; marketing; managing finance and information; the context of business; skills or personal development.
