Computing (Information Security)
In this programme, you will develop an understanding of the central importance of security throughout the design and implementation of computer systems and develop the skills to implement and evaluate computer security measures. You will gain an understanding of the threats to computer security and how to counter them, as well as knowledge of legislation relating to data protection and computer crime.
A good Honours degree, or equivalent; comparable professional qualifications will be considered; a reasonable level of computer literacy is expected.
Modules include: information security; e-business languages; information technology project management; professional practice in computing; network security; research methods for computing; computing placement project; dissertation.
