This programme contains both taught and research elements. The aim of the taught phase is to provide a structured learning programme focused on research methods and approaches. The outputs of the learning here are intended to inform the whole of the research process and to find later expression in the DEng thesis. The thesis stage of the programme requires students to undertake a unique piece of engineering research and development that makes a contribution to knowledge.
Relevant postgraduate (or professional) qualification; at least 2 years� experience in an engineering-related role and discipline, or ability to demonstrate professional competence of a high standard in the relevant research area.
Modules include: Systematic literature review; research methodology and methods; research design for engineering; experimental design and analysis.
