Software Engineering

This programme educates students in the theory, practice, tools and applications necessary for the design, management and deployment of enterprise computing systems. Students can choose options specialising in network technologies, data architectures and database technologies, web services and clouds, or user centred and interactive systems.

Entry requirements

A related degree is required; further entry requirements are available on request.

Course modules

Modules include: Software engineering management; enterprise patterns and frameworks; enterprise software engineering development; programming enterprise components; mobile application development; system administration and security; network and internet technologies and design; data architectures and technology; clouds, grids and virtualisation; user centred web engineering; mobile and network technologies; database tools; enterprise web programming; interaction design.

Assessment methods

Assessment is through examinations, coursework and a project.
