Business and Financial Economics

This programme enables students to combine solid training in theory and method with stimulating exposure to economics and financial data sources. The programme weaves a three-way linkage between business and financial economics theory, data analysis, and application of theory and method to policy and strategy issues in the world of business and finance. Programme features include structured conversion, enabling students to combine theory and evidence to produce evidence-based work, and rigorous application, enabling students to combine theory and evidence to develop evidence-based answers to economic and business issues. Students also become competent in data access and analysis, enabling them to access, manage and analyse data on a wide range of economic and business issues. A work placement gives the opportunity to apply knowledge and skills and prepare for work as a professional economist.
