Primary Education

The programme aims to train teachers who are confident in all settings, particularly urban and inner-city schools. Students train for 2 consecutive key stages, either 3-7 years or 5-11 years. Although students are expected to specialise in teaching either 3-7 years or 5-11, they have an opportunity to observe and engage in structured experience across the full primary range. This programme is run in partnership with schools and students spend a minimum of 18 weeks in a primary school. The full-time programme requires students to be available for classes and school experience each weekday.
