Artificial Intelligence with Robotics

This course provides students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to construct working systems in intelligent computing, artificial intelligence and robotics; students learn about methods used in artificial life, neural networks, evolutionary computation and robotics.

Entry requirements

A recent, good Bachelors degree (e.g. Honours degree from the UK) or equivalent in computer science or closely-related subject. Plus IELTS 6.0 if your 1st language is not English. Applicants who do not wholly meet these requirements, but who are considered to have the professional experience, motivation or potential to succeed at the programme, may also be accepted.

Course modules

Modules include: artificial intelligence with robotics Master's project; artificial life with robotics; investigative methods for computer science; neural networks and machine learning; professional issues; theory and practice of artificial intelligence. Optional modules: advanced databases; data mining; distributed systems security; human computer interaction: principles and practice; investigative methods for computer science; measures and models for software engineering; mobile standards, interfaces and applications; multicast and multimedia networking; network system administration; professional issues; programming paradigms; programming for software engineers; secure systems programming; software engineering practice and experience; web services; wireless, mobile and ad-hoc networking.
