The course strengthens students' design skills to enable them to create integrated interactive multimedia applications, including the use of appropriate user interface techniques, such as virtual and augmented reality. Students also study the hardware, software, and communication networks on which such applications are built.
An Honours degree (2.2 or above), in electronics; computer engineering; computer technology; or a closely related discipline; applicants whose 1st language is not English require an IELTS score of 6.0 or equivalent.
Modules include: Data communication and network principles; distributed systems security; streaming media and metadata; virtual and augmented reality; web platform integration; plus a project.
