E-Learning Technology (online)

This course focuses on e-Learning design and development, enabling you to develop applications that are learner-centred.

Entry requirements

A recent 2.2 Honours degree in Computer Science or equivalent (e.g. Honours degree from the UK) or equivalent. Plus IELTS 6.0, TOEFL 550 (213 CBT) if your first language is not English. Applicants who do not wholly meet these requirements, but who are considered to have the professional experience, motivation or potential to succeed at the programme, may also be accepted.

Course modules

Core Modules: Learner-centred design; e-learning applications development; contemporary practices in information technology; specialist project. Optional Modules: distributed systems; security; measures and models for software engineering; wireless, mobile and ad-hoc networking; multicast and multimedia networking; web services; web scripting and application development; multimedia specification, design and production; software engineering practice and experience; advanced database; mobile standards, interfaces and applications; interaction design; secure systems programming.

Assessment methods

Assessment is coursework and online tests.
