Biometrics and Cybersecurity
Students study modern hardware and software methodologies that can be deployed to enhance security in current and emerging computer environments, including distributed web applications; they also develop their understanding of the legal and commercial framework surrounding computer security.
2:2 Honours degree in electronics, computer engineering, computer technology or a closely-related discipline; students need to have studied relevant material to sufficient depth to benefit from research-based study; if English is not the 1st language IELTS 6.0 or equivalent is required.
Biometric imaging and signal processing; biometric systems and speech processing; digital rights management; distributed systems security; DSP and ASIC architectures and applications.
