Sport and Exercise Rehabilitation

The course is aimed at physiotherapists, sports therapists, sport rehabilitators, osteopaths and chiropractors.

Entry requirements

A recognised qualification in a relevant field (e.g. physiotherapy, sport therapy); or appropriate continued professional development; also at least 1 year's post-qualifying experience, plus membership of a recognised professional body (e.g. health professions council, chartered society of physiotherapy, society of sports therapists, British association of sport rehabilitators and athletic trainers; if English is not the 1st language, IELTS 7.0 or equivalent is required.

Course modules

Core modules include: Advanced injury prevention and management; advances in professional practice; applied strength and conditioning: principles of neuromusculoskeletal assessment and triage; independent evaluation of professional practice; research modules include: Research methods and research dissertation; in addition students may select optional modules from a range of complementary inter-professional health subjects.
