This programme provides students with the background knowledge of legal practice with the opportunity to specialise in corporate finance; commercial law, private client and dispute resolution.
Solicitors Regulation Authority's requirements: an exempting degree in law at 2.2 Honours standard; successful completion of the graduate diploma in Legal Studies; or another equivalent professional qualification.
Modules include: Advocacy; business law and practice; drafting; interviewing and advising; litigation; practical legal research; professional conduct and regulation; property law and practice; solicitors accounts; wills and administration of estates; writing. Optional modules: advanced civil litigation and dispute resolution; commercial law; commercial property; employment law; family law; information technology; intellectual property; mediation; personal injury; private client and estate planning; security and insolvency.
