Occupational Psychology

This programme combines high level vocational training with academic rigour. It prepares successful graduates for careers in a variety of areas including consultancy, specialist roles within organisations, research and areas of technical expertise.

Entry requirements

Minimum of a 2.2 at degree level, but students are expected to have produced work at a 2.1 level, from an appropriate subject psychology or cognitive science or acceptable equivalents.
If students do not have the above requirements but have at least 2 years relevant work experience, they will be invited to apply and each case will be considered.

Course modules

Core modules include: ergonomics and human factors; human potential and performance; individual and organisational learning; leadership, engagement and motivation; learning, training and development; organisations and change; project; psychological assessment at work; research and professional skills; research and professional skills in action; selection and assessment; transition psychology; wellbeing and work; work design, organisational change and development. Optional modules include: consulting skills; HRM for psychologists; marketing for psychologists; strategic management for psychologists.

A small number of scholarships are available for international students.
