This course is aimed students who wish to pursue careers in finance and provides knowledge of current developments in the sector. The course enables students to develop critical insights, provide vocationally-relevant subject matter and is highly focused on skills development.
A good first degree 2.2 in accountancy, finance, business or economics. Students holding an appropriate professional qualification from one of the professional accountancy bodies who are members of the Consultative Committee of Accountancy Bodies (CCAB), are considered to have met the admissions criteria. Other professional qualifications are considered on an individual basis.
Modules include: international economics; personal investment; finance and portfolio management; international finance; research design and analysis; dissertation; finance theories; corporate financial management; with option modules.
Assessments include case studies, presentations and examinations.
