This is a course designed to meet the needs of students who have completed an undergraduate degree in a relevant area of business, accounting or finance. The course will enable students to develop critical insights, provide vocationally-relevant subject matter and is highly focused on skills development.
A good 1st degree (2.2 or above) in accountancy, finance, business or economics. Appropriate professional qualification from one of the professional accountancy bodies who are members of the Consultative Committee of Accountancy Bodies (CCAB), will be considered if applicants have met the University's admissions criteria. Other professional qualifications will be considered on an individual basis.
Modules include: International corporate reporting issues; accounting for strategy and management control; governing risk: ethics and audit; international finance; international economics; research design and analysis; dissertation. Option modules: globalisation and financial crisis; personal investment; finance and portfolio management; global leadership and change.
Assessments include case studies, presentations and examinations.
