International Hospitality Management
The course aims to provide students with a detailed knowledge of the international hospitality industry. Students learn how to make appropriate judgements concerning strategic and operational challenges facing international hospitality businesses and learn to devise and implement relevant strategies to address these challenges.
Honours degree (2.2 or above) in hospitality management, tourism, business, management or a related discipline. Applicants holding an appropriate professional qualification or work experience are considered on an individual basis. If English is not the 1st language, applicants are expected to demonstrate English language ability at a level equivalent to IELTs 6.0 (TOEFL 550 or Computer Based 213) before commencing studies.
Management of international hospitality organisations; hospitality operational analysis and planning; strategic management for the international hospitality industry; international tourism; international marketing; international human resource management; strategic management for the international hospitality industry, entrepreneurship in a global context; research methods; dissertation.
