Human Resource Management

The first term module Dissertation Planning module enables you to examine and analyse Human Resource Strategy from several perspectives and provides support for the dissertation and research methods. Your dissertation proposal informs your dissertation for the second term.

Entry requirements

Applicants must hold a postgraduate diploma in human resources management or human resources development (or an equivalent CIPD recognised predecessor qualification from pre 2013). This will accredit 2/3 (120 credits) of the points needed for a Master's level qualification (180 credits).

Course modules

In Semester 1 you take one module; Dissertation Planning. The module examines and analyses Human Resource Strategy from a number of perspectives and provides support for the dissertation and methods of research. You prepare a proposal as assessment for this module and it then becomes the guideline for the dissertation in Semester 2.

Assessment methods

Teaching/learning methods include traditional lectures, group work, case studies, individual tuition as well as independent student learning that integrate theory and application.
