Strategic Human Resource Management
Applicants will have a good 1st degree from a UK university or equivalent qualification or postgraduate qualification. On an exceptional basis, applicants with appropriate professional qualifications and/or experience will be admitted on a case-by-case basis to enable them to achieve the award. All applicants will be invited to interview as part of the application process. Non-UK qualifications will be checked for equivalence. For applicants whose 1st language or language of instruction is not English you will need to meet the minimum requirements of an English language qualification. The minimum of IELTS 6.5 overall with no element lower than 6.0, will be considered acceptable, or equivalent.
Term 1: resourcing and talent management; learning and talent development; developing skills for business leadership; reward management; human resource management in a global context. Terms 1 and 2: postgraduate dissertation proposal. Term 2: managing employment relations; developing skills for business leadership; human resource strategy; developing and leading people. Term 3: dissertation.
Assessments are undertaken in a similarly broad and inclusive fashion, through a mixture of written assignments, presentations, critical business reports, consultation exercises, and reflective portfolios.
