Strategic Human Resource Management
This course offers the opportunity to develop knowledge and practical skills across a broad range of topics. This programme is a blend of practical personal development and critical analysis of emerging human resource management trends and issues which organisations are currently experiencing.
Applicants will have a good 1st degree from a UK university or equivalent qualification or post-graduate qualification. Applicants with appropriate professional qualifications and/or experience will be admitted on a case-by-case basis to enable them to achieve the award on an exceptional basis. Non-UK qualifications will be checked for equivalence. Applicants for whom English is not a 1st language must also demonstrate proficiency in English language. Such applicants will be required, normally to achieve scores of either TOEFL 550 or IELTS 6.5 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component. All applicants will be invited to interview as part of the application process.
Modules include: resourcing and talent; learning and talent development; developing skills for business leadership; reward management; developing and leading people ; managing employment relations; developing skills for business leadership; human resource strategy; postgraduate dissertation proposal; dissertation.
Written assignments, critical business reports, consultation exercises and reflective portfolios.
