International Business with Financial Services

This course teaches the nature of traditional financial markets and alternative investment markets (including cooperative models and Islamic finance). In addition, they deepen their knowledge about key aspects of the international environment and the decision that companies take in the multinational context. The emphasis throughout the course will be on preparation for careers in business and financial services. The course provides students with the practical knowledge, understanding and transferable skills which are essential in both well-established business organisations and in the rapidly-changing world of international business and finance. Entry requirements

Good Honours degree (2.2 or above) in an area of business, management, marketing, accountancy or economics. Applicants who have appropriate professional qualifications or work experience will be considered on an individual basis.

Course modules

Modules include: Globalisation and financial crisis; economics of financial markets; international business environment; international economics; strategic management; international business strategy; research methods and techniques; corporate responsibility and governance.

Assessment methods

Assessment is by a project work, dissertation.
