Graphic Design

The course offers students an opportunity to enhance their knowledge, skills, creativity and employment prospects through imaginatively exploring graphic design platforms and processes.

Entry requirements

The normal entry requirements are: A good Honours degree in an appropriate subject or equivalent with a 2.2 or above. Alternative qualifications and/or significant experience may be accepted, subject to approval. International students with qualifications in 'creative' or 'practice' subjects should submit a digital portfolio (pdf) of work with their application. All suitably qualified applicants are normally invited in for an informal chat with a portfolio or considered for admittance under alternative arrangements, such as a skype chat.

Course modules

Modules include: Research methods and project proposal; graphic design concepts; creative innovation and entrepreneurship; graphic design processes; major project.

Assessment methods

A combination of the production and critique of 'graphic design' and presentations, culminating in an exposition of work in the form of theoretical and/or practice-led work.
