The course offers students an opportunity to enhance their knowledge, skills, creativity and employment prospects through imaginatively exploring graphic design platforms and processes.
An Honours degree in an appropriate subject or equivalent with a 2.2 or above. Alternative qualifications and/or significant experience may be accepted, subject to approval. International students with qualifications in 'creative' or 'practice' subjects should submit a digital portfolio (pdf) of work with their application. All suitably qualified applicants are normally interviewed or considered for admittance under alternative arrangements. Interview will be by portfolio of practice based and/or theoretical work and a statement of intent.
Modules include: research methods and project proposal; graphic design concepts; creative innovation; graphic design processes; major project.
Assessment is based on a combination of the production and critique of graphic design and presentations, culminating in an exposition of work in the form of theoretical and/or practice based work.
