Action Research for Education
An Honours degree or professional equivalent, or professional relevant experience. Experience of teaching, training or working in a relevant organisation in education or in a related sector. You also need to be in a work role which relates to learning/training.
Core modules: Introduction to action research in teaching and learning; dissertation. Optional modules include: Exploring teaching and learning; International approaches to early childhood education; developing effective leadership; managing learning and development in organisations; e-tutoring; mentoring and coaching; methods of enquiry; understanding e-learning.
The course is assessed through course work: there are no timed tests or exams. The assessment on the course allows you to demonstrate your practical knowledge and skills alongside developing your critical and theoretical understanding of the subject. The assessment builds on your particular interests and context and is likely to have outcomes that will be of benefit to your professional life and to your employer. You will be provided with guidance to help you develop your assignment work.
