Higher Education (Research Supervision)
This course offers an accredited framework for members of academic staff seeking to develop their understanding of the research supervisory process and the skills required effectively to support and monitor postgraduate students. It explores creative ways of addressing supervisory dilemmas and offers opportunities to discuss issues which might constitute challenges within the supervisory relationship.
This course is offered to members of academic staff who are eligible to undertake postgraduate research student supervision. Students should have post graduate research experience as a student.
Modules include: supervision of postgraduate research; developing postgraduate research supervision skills.
Assessment is based on assignment and presentation. There are no written examinations.
